Ask for it to be added to whatever instructions you used with a feature request
Same thing happened to me and im so frustrated because i cant get them back from recently deleted tabs, and i thought i could prevent it by going to advanced>website data and only deleting those because i knew my history would affect tabs but it doesnt make sense not to notify or show you that deleted website data takes away tabs too
I know many users who don't appear to know how to bookmark websites. Tabs provide a whole lot more recognition than a URL. I suggest you try it.
Regardless, documenting that it will erase all tabs seems appropriate, courteous, and considerate.
Thanks. I did file a product feedback on the Apple website you suggest. It was a little confusing since it had to be filed under Mack Safari app. Maybe something will update the documentation. Thanks
It does not take away the Favorites in Bookmarks which is how everybody else remembers websites.
I would not want to try a technique that I know to be nebulous and does not transfer to all my other apple devices like Favorites bookmarks with iCloud does.
