Why can I not play the video of apple fitness work outs on my smart tv. I just have sound

You need an apple tv hardware device.

Apple TV 4K with tvOS 14.3 or later
Apple TV HD with tvOS 14.3 or later

My experience:

Wireless screen mirroring occasionally plays audio (no video), but not always. Using the AV adapter from lightning to HDMI only plays audio. My iPad Pro USB-C to HDMI does work, but is not cast in full screen to my TV. I believe the next iOS is scheduled to add additional functionality.

Have you found that using your iPad to HDMI, does not show metrics on your TV anymore? Mine has disappeared since last weeks update.
