workout video doesn't appear on tv when using apple tv

when using apple fitness+ with apple TV (correct version and software updated) the video portion of the workout does not appear on the TV. Everything is visible until after the countdown after which the screen is blank with the exception on my data. Audio is working but no video

What is you model Apple TV? Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

Are you using the Fitness app on Apple TV, or are you using AirPlay?

Try this for the misbehaving app:

Force-quit the app, then relaunch and try again.
If the issue persists, force-quit the app, restart the device, then relaunch and try again.
