Problems playing a song downloaded from Itunes

I have downloaded numerous songs from Itunes without problems. I downloaded a song yesterday, paid for it, received the invoice; when I try to play it, a messages tells me "the device is not authorised to play the song"".

I get the option to authorise the device which I follow. A message then tells me the device had been authorised before and that it has been authorised again.

I again try to play the song and the same message "device not authorised....". I authorised the device over and over to but it will not work.

Any hints as to how to remedy this problem?

Repeated requests to authorize an already authorized computer for store downloads typically indicates you have corrupt or incomplete copies. Delete the tracks that won't play from your library without hiding from your purchase history. Redownload using the cloud links that should remain, or close iTunes and reopen if they don't show up straight away. While downloading click the activity widget and turn off the option that allows for simultaneous downloads.
