Mac Mail 14.0 on Big Sur - Not showing flags or attachments
How do I get flags and attachment icons to show up in mac mail inbox screen?

We understand you're trying to have the flagged email and emails with attachments icons show up on screen. Let's take a closer look as we do our best to provide some additional insight.
To get started, do you use the normal layout for Mac Mail, or do you use the classic Column Layout? You can check by opening Mail and clicking on the View tab at the top. Is there a checkmark next to Use Column Layout?
If you do use this layout, you add additional filters to the sort bar by right(secondary) clicking on the bar at the top of the sorted columns where it shows information like From, Subject, Date Received, etc. When you right click on it, you can choose to add additional items to the list like Flags or Attachments.
