Honey (coupon extension) using significant battery

For some reason for about the past two weeks, my Mac has been overheating and my battery is being drained very quickly. I checked in the activity monitor and the Honey couponing extension (which I've had for well over a year and has never caused issues before) is having an energy impact of almost 70. Is there a way to fix this while keeping the extension? This is a new issue and I don't think I changed anything with the extension, at least not on purpose. Thanks in advance! :)

Try uninstalling and reinstalling Honey extension.

First check whether a new version is available or not.

You do not state what browser you are using...(?)

Googles Chrome seems to be a memory hog— and not optimized for the macOS.

You are not going to micro-manage an extension

Try a different browser

Try a stand alone app compared to an extension

Delete the problem extension
