MagSafe Battery Pack

Does anyone think Apple will release a magsafe battery pack rather then a battery case.

Seen in the patch notes something about a magsafe battery pack but I am unsure whether this means a charging case that supports magsafe or a extended portable charger that connects to the phone via magsafe.

Can the magsafe charger be used without a case in your iPhone? Can the magsafe charger can be used without a case in your phone? I have an Iphone XS and I'm worried that it won't work [Re-Titled by Moderator]
