Iphone Brightness is Going to Max on Some Apps

With the update in 14.4.2 I am seeing that some apps automatically run the brightness to maximum after a second or so. This has happened on the Wallet app an Starbucks in particular. I have gone to Accessibility->Display & Text Size -> Auto-Brightness and turned this off (it was on) and that didn't make any difference. Wondering if this is just a bug or something odd about my iPhone going bad (Its an iPhone 11 Pro).

I think you might be on to something there! This happened in the Wallet App and only for Starbucks and the "card" has a bar code. The other place it was happening was the Starbucks app which also has the bar code.

Howdy korkyk,

It sounds like you want to know why your iPhone is changing its brightness when using some app. We know how important this is for you, and you’re in the right place for answers.

This can be normal for certain apps. Especially ones that have bar or QR codes that need to be scanned. You can always Adjust the brightness on your iPhone in Control Center once in the app.
