I normally update my iTunes, running on my Android, using my desktop iTunes app. Now, when I connect my Android via USB, it is no longer recognized by my desktop app. Has Apple modified my desktop iTunes to only accept Apple devices? if so, is there any way I can update my playlist (on my Android) to add music that I have downloaded onto my desktop?

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We want to make sure we're on the same page; you are attempting to sync your music to Apple Music on your Android device, do we have that correct? iTunes does not have the capability of recognizing Android devices that are connected to the computer via a cable. However, if you are subscribed to Apple Music the music in your library can wirelessly sync between iTunes on your computer and your Android device. If you are signed into the same Apple ID on both Apple Music on your Android device and Apple Music on your computer, you'll simply need to turn on "Sync Library" to sync your playlist across devices.
