Macbook Air - fan & CPU usage with Teams

Using:

MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020)

1.1 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i3

16 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4X

Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB

Corporate use, multiple Teams calls on any given day. AS soon as Teams opens (desktop app) my fan begins...anything video oriented, and I my ability to use any other apps is compromised - sluggish, delayed.

Have read the boards - clear cache, turn of GPU, etc...nothing is working. Any recent fixes? Teams has become too important to the day, and this machine is more than equipped from a hardware standpoint.
