Unable to complete data transfer

I have just got a new iPhone 11 and am trying to sinc from my iPhone 8 but every time I try I end with with ‘Unable to complete data transfer’. I’ve plugged both in to the power socket, I’ve unpaired my Apple Watch....... please can anyone help????
