We are your fellow end users with no special pipeline to Apple planners. However, we know history. History says that has never happened before, so I would not wait for change.

Historically, a cut-off that excludes a model year from using a new OS version is due to hardware limitattions in the computer, not some that that can be changed in the OS programming.

If a computer company withheld improvements to new OS versions simply to support older models, we'd all be computing like it was 1995 and I, for one, don't want that "Way-back" machine turned on!!
