Static noise when iPhone 12 connected to Lightning to Aux adapter

When I try listen to music in my car and I plug my aux and lightning adapter into my phone, for some reason as soon as I try play a song or any audio for that matter, all I hear is static. I have been using this aux cable and lightning to aux adapter for a while and never had any issues. If I don’t try and play any audio though, I no longer hear the static noise. It is the strangest thing, but I need my music when I drive, any suggestions? :(

We would like to see how we can help you with your connection to your car. Are you able to test the issue with a different cable and adapter, or with a different device connected to the cable and adapter? That will help us isolate the issue further. If you play audio from a different app, does the issue persist? Restart the iPhone and let us know your results: Restart your iPhone
