Pages cannot open files in the “iCloud synchronization file” format.

Why can I open a file in Pages with my Iphone but not with my macbook air Big sur? This is the notation produced on my macbook air : The document “name of document” could not be opened. Pages cannot open files in the “iCloud synchronization file” format. I didn't encounter this problem with my Macbook Pro Sierra. Thanks for your help.

Hello sonvers_22,

We understand that you're unable to open a Pages document on your MacBook Air, though it does open on your iPhone. On your Mac, do you have iCloud Drive enabled? Go to the Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud.

Access iCloud Drive files from your iPhone and other devices - Apple Support

If so, are you able to go to the iCloud website - https://www.icloud.com - and open the file there?
