Grainy photos

Hello, I’m wondering if everyone’s iPhone 12 pro max does the same as mine when taking photos with poor light or artificial light, every time i take photos on those conditions (which the night mode doesn’t activate) the photos become really grainy, then i try to activate night mode manually and it stills take grainy photos

Based on what you posted, I don't see an issue. If you do on your phone and you have a concern, schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation.


You might want to do some tutorials on the cameras in your iPhone. YouTube has loads of great videos which may help you.

I don't see anything wrong with this photo. What camera did you use? If you used .5 camera, inside in lower light, it has the slowest camera of the cameras on iPhone and would not have been a good choice. Remember to use the best camera for the scene you are photographing.


Also, if I were to critique the subject, it's not a well composed photo and the nearness of the cabin sides so close to the camera would make it harder for your camera to choose the best subject to photograph clearly. Framing a subject and using the right camera for the subject makes a world of difference.


A final note. The fact the photo posted sideways indicates you took the photo in portrait orientation. Had you taken the photo in landscape (preferred orientation), the photo would have posted correctly in this forum.
