Unable to connect Spectrum email with Apple's Mail program.

When adding my Spectrum email address to Apple's Mail (new account) on an older iMac, I get the following error message: Unable to verify account name or password.

I've triple-check all the information/settings in regards to Spectrum for Apple's Mail program with 3-different Spectrum representatives. They all said Apple needs to look into this.

Now what?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

In order to rule this out being an Apple issue, please try a NVRAM reset (Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support).

If it still doesn't work, create a test user account and test:

  1. Go to System Preferences.
  2. Click "Users & Groups".
  3. Unlock with the padlock.
  4. Click "+" and make a new admin account to test with.
  5. From there, attempt to add the Spectrum email from the test account.

Cheers,

Jack
