Can’t add Charter (Spectrum) mail account to my Apple Mail

I deleted my Spectrum mail account on my computer as I could not send using the Apple mail app on any of my Apple devices.. When I tried to add the Spectrum account back, it says my user or password are not valid. I can access web mail using them, so Spectrum ( Charter) says they are correct. I then get spinning and can’t proceed further. Tried for hours trouble shooting to no avail.
