iOS auto-pushed update

So, is it possible that Apple is using another server for auto-pushed iOS updates? I have blocked mesu.apple.com, appldnld.apple.com, mesu.apple.ca, appldnld.apple.ca on my router, and the Auto-Updates are turned off in my iPhone settings, yet those pesky updates keep downloading during the night.

I am a life-long apple user - I owned almost every device in that Steve Jobs movie, yet this is enough of a pet peeve that I am seriously considering never buying an apple product again. I know apple really doesn't give a **** about the end user anymore, but all the same... I paid for the device, it is mine now! Let me use it how I se fit already!
