Apple Watch broken, red/yellow lines through screen

Hi

has anyone experienced their Apple Watch not working. At first it was frozen with a green screen now after letting the battery completely die to try and reset it (as a manual reset is impossible) it has a black screen with vertical red and yellow lines down it.
