Importing .m2t files in fcpx

I have a HVR-MRC1 unit. The unit captures video files in .M2T format.

When i use Final Cut Pro X (FCPX) editing software; i am unable to import .M2T files.

Earlier i was using FCP7 and i was easily able to log and transfer files directly from CF Card into the editing software.

Please help me with resolving this issue.

Is there any driver / patch / additional software; which can make FCPX import .M2T files directly in library.

What will happen now is that; i need to use a converter and convert all .M2T files into other formats and use them with FCPX.

There are so many of files that HVR-MRC1 makes while shooting; that; it will take **** lot of time to convert all the files first and thereafter use them with FCPX.

Please reply.

You might try and see if EditReady can rewrap the files. That would be quicker than converting. There’s a trial version available to test.

Log and capture was just a conversion process built into legacy FCP.

Thanks. Yes, thats what i read over dicussions over social media. How about quality and then it a double exercise; first transfer data as it is and later rewrap to required format. Where as in FCP; you could straight away do a log n transfer and the software imports directly data of .M2T files as .MOV files.

Is there no such option in FCPX ?

Does Apple thinks to add this feature in FCPX?

Thanks a lot.
