broken ipad 2

my girlfriends old ipad is broken and im trying to save all the photos on it as they mean a lot to her. it lights up but you can't see anything. is there anyway to restore it on a laptop or do I have to take it into a store?

That iPad is too old. A 2011 iPad 2 will be 10-years old this year.

I doubt no electronics store or Apple Store will even touch it.

That iPad should have had its data backed up long before now and before it became broken.

If this iPad has never been backed up, then at this late stage, and with this fairly extensive damage, I am afraid that this data is lost.

If, IF you can search online and find a somewhat “local”, third party electronics reoair center that is knowledgeable in Apple iPhones AND iPads and can do reliable and competent work/repairs on Apple iPads, and it isn’t too expensive, they might be able to help you.

Otherwise, you are simply out of luck.

The data in that iPad maybe irretrievable now.
