When I use Snap and Drag App, I can't capture the selection I have defined

Bought a new iMac with Big Sur, version 11.2.3. But when I use Snap and Drag application, I cannot capture the selection I have defined. Instead, Snap and Drag captures that portion of my desktop that lies under the selection I defined. I have download a new version of Snap and Drag Pro, but still cannot capture a selection that I want.
