Bluetooth 'Show Notifications' Toggle on/off missing

Hey Apple--This has been an issue for couple of years now, and I'm wondering if you're ever going to fix it.

When connecting my iPhone via Bluetooth to my car (it does NOT have CarPlay), I used to be able to get my text messages to alert and display on the car display.

This was possible because the Bluetooth options (Settings-->Bluetooth-->My Devices--> 'i') showed a toggle button for 'Show Notifications':

For the last several iOS versions, the 'Show Notifications' is no longer an option under the Bluetooth settings--because of this, I can no longer get my text messages to alert/display in my car.

Nothing changed with my car's software, only the iPhone iOS changed, and then this feature disappeared.

Apple--are you ever going to fix this so we can have this option again?
