Phone is automatically setting brightness to zero everytime I lock screen
I have tried turning auto brightness off. I have tried turning True Tone off. I have the latest OS 14.4.2.
Phone is basically unusable like this....

It sounds as though the display brightness is decreasing when locking the iPhone. To clarify a bit further is the screen remaining dim when unlocking the iPhone? If the screen is going black when locking the iPhone this is expected as the iPhone is being locked.
If you're seeing the display brightness remain dim please restart your iPhone as outlined in the following article.
