iPhone X touch screen going crazy

When using the phone, I will lose control and the phone starts scrolling between screens, selecting apps, deleting, etc. and the only way to stop it is to turn the phone off completely. This happens a few times per day. I have rebooted the phone but that didn't help.

Hey ldburt,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! We understand you're experiencing unexpected touch issues on your iPhone X. We can help share some guidance on what to do.

Is there any physical, accidental damage to your screen or device at all that could be causing this? If not, continue below.

Try out the steps in this article to get started: If the screen isn’t working on your iPhone or iPad. One step is to see if this behavior relates to any accessories that are connected to your device. If there are accessories connected, make sure the cables are not damaged or frayed in any way.

If the issue remains, be sure to rule out possible environmental causes, such as using your device in an environment that is very humid, etc. Those types of environments could cause the multi-touch display to act differently.

Best regards.
