iPhone X touch screen has gone crazy

Why has my iPhone X touch screen gone crazy. Almost impossible to type messages, get random letters and keyboard become unusable.

Apps move randomly back and forward across screen , have to switch off.

Can I rectify myself or need to have professional repair?

Phone is just under 2 years old.
