Lost PHone

I lost my iphone SE last Tuesday and I bought a new one and transferred my service to a different carrier. If someone finds the lost one, how can I be sure they cannot access personal information on my phone?

iPhone SE, iOS 14

Click on this link and read it to find out what to do "If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen" --> https://support.apple.com/HT201472

You can set the phone to erase remotely.

If you have a good passcode on it, the phone will become disabled if somebody tries too many guesses. To get it working again they will have to erase the phone plus know your login information.
