Cancelling paid subscriptions to start a new subscription that includes the previous one as well

Do you have to wait for a cancelled subscriptions expiration date to start up a new subscription that includes the previous one in a packaged deal? IE. Adobe Creative Cloud, cancelled LightRoom so I can take advantage of the All Apps discounted price, which includes LightRoom. When I try to purchase it denies the transaction due to me "already owning LightRoom". Is there a work around other than waiting for the expiration date?
