Reset (Old) iPad

I bought a new iPad & I want to reset my old iPad & keep it for my nieces (5 & 6) to play games & watch their (kid) YouTube shows.

I am in Setting & clicked on “Erase Al Content and Settings” & am tapping “Erase Now” (I do not want my stuff on it so I don’t want to backup) but am a little concerned because when I do that I get prompted for my Passcode & on the next screen my Apple ID Password!

That makes me worried that it would erase the data from iCloud which I don’t want because I still need it for my new iPad.  How do I know I am only erasing the data on the device itself?

If you already migrated everything from the old device to the new one, and you activated your Apple ID on the new iPad, you can follow these instructions on the old one:--> What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
