I have a iPhone 6s that I wish to give away. My problem is this was my wife's phone and she and I shared the Apple ID and password. Now when I try to make changes on the 6s it changes my 14pro.

Follow the steps there on your old phone. It will not erase or affect your new phone in any way.

Thanks everyone, I was able to erase the phone. You are right follow the directions and it worked. At the beginning it was my errors that caused my issues. It is a straight forward process.
I wish to erase the contents of an iPhone with a joint Apple ID and password.
