Why do I have to pay for a series on a channel I’m subbed to but can watch the first season?

I’m subscribed to CBS+ all access on the AppleTV app on my phone. I was watching FBI until it got to the second season asking me to buy each episode after finishing the first and part of the second and there are 4.

I don’t understand why I would have to pay for individual episodes that have already aired if I’m subscribed and already paying for the subscription to the channel that has all of the seasons of that series. I’m very frustrated.

Does anyone have an answer for this?

Only Paramount can answer why some episodes are not available.

You were presented with the offer to pay for episodes, as those episodes are available in the iTunes Store (instead of Paramount+). The Apple TV app will present shows and episodes from many content providers, and offer you to choose an content provider if a show is available from more than one content provider (How to Watch section on the show’s Details page).

Actually I found the stupidest & most confusing thing!!!

so I actually watched until S2E10 then it tells me from S2E11 to episode S2E15 I have to pay $2.99 + taxes for each episode. I didn’t look in depth until I called support.

It makes no sense how everything else is available, season 1-3 except what says I have to pay the $2.99 + taxes for the episodes 11-15 in season 2, so actually everything else is available.

no wonder I was so frustrated, still am, but at least I understand it a bit more now. I am still wondering why these specific episodes need to be paid for individually, yet everything else is available to watch for free.

Why do I have to pay for a series on a channel I’m subbed to but can watch the first season?
