Icloud Server connection issues although Apple Status is in Green.

I am having trouble connecting to the iCloud server.

My password is accepted (I could log in to this area of Apple services!) - but after signing in, an error message - "iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server."

Tried all the different steps listed in the FAQ, nothing seems to help.

I looked at my wife's access, and everything is working on her end - so seem to be an isolated issue.

Any idea?
