How do I get my iPhone12 to give me an audio notification for any text messages received when I am using my iPad. Some text messages I receive do not go through to my iPad—messages sent from Android devices. If I am not on my iPad, my iPhone works perfectly.

So we're on the same page, is Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding disabled? If not, which devices are currently set up to receive the notifications? When this happens, is the iPhone connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data?
Also, do you have an Apple Watch? The reason we ask is that if the iPhone is locked and you're wearing the Apple Watch, the notifications should come to the watch instead.
