I removed the SIM card in my iPhone XS and I put it in my old iPhone 3GS to test it, it told me that it would refuse to activate on the 3GS doe to the age of the phone so I put it back into my iPhone XS and and it’s showing bars and the AT&T text but no LTE! Please help!

Try restarting the device and test again, try toggling the data and LTE settings and test again, and failing all that check with your carrier.
