I have been using icloud to backup my phone for a year. Now I want to connect to itunes to load my music. I am forced to pick "new phone set up" or "restore backup" (thats 3 yrs old). How can I connect to itunes without losing my phone?

I had this very same question not long ago because what it says is indeed confusing. Choose "new phone". What is means is 'new to iTunes', not 'make this phone like new'.
