Syncing iPhone with iTunes

A year ago I backed up my iPhone using iTunes because I was getting my phone repaired. Apple gave me a new phone and all my data was saved. I did not go back to sync the phone with the back up at that time. The most recent backup is in the cloud. Now when When I connect my iPhone to my Mac and iTunes opens, I am prompted to either choose to restore a year old backup or set the phone up as new. I don't want to do either. I just want to access iTunes so I can sync my audiobooks, music, podcast, etc.

iPhone 7, iOS 13

When you set up the device as new, nothing will be wiped.

NOTE: When you think the phone with iTunes for the first time and music sync is enabled, it will replace music on the device with music in iTunes Music Library. If you have any ripped tracks on the phone, make sure to save them first.
