Why can't I paste images UNDER text in Pages 10? On El Capitan, I could paste images exactly where I wanted them in Pages. I don't remember which version of Pages that was. On Big Sur (which has Pages 10), when I paste an image in an empty paragraph under text, it jumps into the text—between lines of the text. Images in a Pages document I want to have images in a Pages document added inline to text. When I bring in an image, it seems to be on the page rather than an inline image. I also can't seem to control where it ends up when dragged in. I drag to a paragraph down the page and it ends up somewhere else. PS I can't open the manual in Books on an Intel iMac. Opens on M1 MBP. But I can't find any of this in the manual. But then it has no Index.

To include a file in most systems (including Apple support communities) you must capture the screenshot in a File, then include the File (which will be downloaded at the moment you say that it should be included).

Getting it from the clipboard is too complicated, so generally not supported.
