Anyone know what to do about this:

mac erase process has failed the volume "Macintosh HD" on disk 2s5 couldn't be unmounted because it is in use by porrcess 652 (kextcache).

I tried to restart and I get a spinning beachball. I followed the directions exactly.

I hard restarted while holding command+r and tried again. This time it gave me just erase instead of erase volumes. It then successfully erased the drive and I was able to reinstall the OS.
