I have deleted unwanted stuff, checked and have 108GB availalble in my Macbook storage.
I also back up my computer to a storage SSD.
My Apple6 iPhone also tells me it has not been backed up due to icloud being full
I don't want to pay more for iCloud. How will ignoring this extra payment affect me?

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. From our understanding, you are getting a pop up that your iCloud Storage is full but do not want to upgrade the storage, do we have that right? If so, ignoring the request to update your storage will just cause your data not to sync to iCloud or backup to iCloud since there is no space. If you want to have a recent backup of your iPhone data, you can use your computer to create the back up.
