Featured photo album not automatically updated

I added photo widget on Home Screen which is linked to featured photo album under “for you”. Photos inside the featured photo album supposed to be picked by system and got updated on a regular basis.

it works perfectly on my iPhone X but not on my iPhone 12. It keeps on showing the same set of photos.

How can I fix this?

Photos icloud sync paused to save battery on iPhone 12 Just some background information. I never had this happen until iOS 16 update. I have a good internet connection. It does not happen on my iPad and I've restarted and looked at all the iCloud and battery settings. My photos are not syncing to iCloud and it says iCloud sync has paused to save battery.. even though I could be at 100% and it still happens. There's a "resume" option and after I tap that every time the sync starts and completes. I'll open up a ticket with Apple but the only resolution I can think of is either telling me about a setting that I'm missing (unlikely) or there is a bug.
