Purchased an apple gift card to play candy crush on iPad redeemed the gift card but cannot get it to purchase on the game keeps saying I have to update payment method when I go there the gift card is there with the amount on it tried to sign out of Apple ID on devices still cannot purchase with gift card what do I do

If your gift card is okay to make in-app purchases, check these options:
Settings>ScreenTime>Content&Privacy Restrictions>iTunes&App Store Purchases... the first 3 options should be set on "Allow". When done, restart your device.
