Recently I bought a TV (Samsung QE55Q90R) with Airplay 2. Because I like opera, in some cases, I have to stream it from my iPhone. Video and audio works fine but not the subtitles. On my iPhone, subtitles are correctly shown but on my TV screen there are no subtitles. It seems that this an old problem but I have some hope that this is solved in the meantime?
Hello OS10.4.ACCOUNTS, Thanks for letting us know. You mentioned that it is not possible to turn subtitles ON or OFF on your Samsung QE55Q90R. This leads us to believe that subtitles are not supported on your TV which could be why you’re unable to see them. With that being said, have you tried using AirPlay to mirror your iPhone’s screen? If not, please give that step a try, and let us know if you’re able to see the subtitles that are on your iPhone appear on your TV screen.

Also, have you tried adjusting the settings on your Samsung QE55Q90R to see if your subtitles are turned on?
