Emoji Keyboard “glitch”

I have an iPhone XS using software version 14.4.2 and for about two or three months now I’ve been having an annoying issue with my emoji keyboard. The best way to describe it might be a “glitch” where I’ll scroll through the emojis to find the one I want but once I stop scrolling, the whole keyboard snaps back to the “first page” or beginning so to speak so I’m forced to scroll through again in order to find the emoji again. It doesn’t glitch on the second scroll though. As an example if I were to scroll past the first page of my recents, scroll past the yellow emoji faces, to try and select a hand gesture emoji, the whole keyboard snaps all the way back to my recents as soon as I stop scrolling.

I’ve deleted my emoji keyboard and reset my keyboard under the general reset in settings and I’m still experiencing this glitch. I don’t know what else to do or if this is just a software bug that will be fixed in an update.
