Not a problem. I am using one with my M1 MacBook Air
without any issue,
In my case I needed it so it could power a USB-C dock and
my MacBook Air. The anemic 30 watt that comes with the
Air could not do both. Plus the Air charges faster with the
60 watt.
Just make sure you are using he Apple 60 watt supply and not
a cheap 3rd party.

Will it Work:
Perhaps. But, be certain you use the correct wattage. Go to the above link to find out which adapter to use. As for the USB-C cable, it's best to go brand-for-brand (Apple -for-Apple) when it comes to power.
