You can restore your daughter's phone and it won't affect the phone you're using, even if that other phone uses the same Apple ID. Your daughter may lose the games and text messages if the iPhone 5 hasn't been backed up, though.
I recommend setting up your daughter's iPhone with some of the things set out in this guide: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201304 but the iPhone 5 may be too old for some of the features described.

You can restore the phone to factory settings; that won’t affect any other phones. However, if you are sharing an Apple ID with that phone you really shouldn’t, because your daughter can see any data that you sync to iCloud as well as your message history.
