I’m working overseas from the United States and my I iMessage and FaceTime stopped working. My phone is in airplane mode to save from international data plans but I am connected to strong Wi-Fi. I went through a series of turning off my phone number and restarting my phone based off of previous discussion threads but it still does not work.

To activate iMessage and FaceTime a text message is sent to the phone to activate it. With your iPhone in Airplane mode it cannot receive it.
