Aux and iPhone 12
My AUX lead charges my phone in the car so I know it’s working but audio will not play through the speakers from my phones music library? Any ideas?

There are 4 wires in a USB cable. Just because the red and black charge wires are working does not mean the other two are connected or live. Consult the car audio manual for details of availablility of "ipod mode" playback with your model phone.
Maybe Bluetooth is a better choice.
