100C while gaming on a MBP and throttling

So I have an Early 2011 MacBook Pro 15" with an i7-2720QM,16 gigs,HD 6750M 1GB GDDR5,

I replaced the thermal paste with MX4, cleaned the fans, added thermal pads so the heat can exhaust through the bottom cover, and if i play a game newer than 2007 the cpu gets to 100c and then throttles to 800mhz and the temperature decreases to 87C even at 100 percent fan speed... Games become very unplayable even with a GPU overclock.

If I disable PROCHOT games suddenly become fully playable but the CPU sits at 100C which is its max temperature, the macbook doesnt turn off even though it should at 100C since its it TJUNCTION.

Anyone else having these temperatures and problems? and is it even safe to use it at 100c?

If you can keep the Mac ventilated, 100C may still be an acceptable state for gaming. You also mention that games released after 2007 make the CPU work much harder. Thermal throttling is a key factor in Desktop vs Laptop choices. I agree that macOS may be a more compelling choice, but Windows is pretty good, too.
