4k MacBook Air M1

Hi,

The MacBook Air M1 has a 2560-by-1600 native resolution, does it make a difference if I watch a movie on youtube in 4k vs 1080p? or watching a movie in 4k vs 1080p? can it show 4k properly without any external 4k monitors on full screen?

Thanks for the response.

It will downsample higher resolution sources to match the internal display. So 4K will give a higher resolution than 1080p but you won’t see full 4K unless you use an external display.
