MacBook Pro Automatic Adjust Brightness Issue

Hello. I went outside with my MacBook Pro 16 inch and i notice that i have problem with the brightness on my display. When the sun hits the display my display turns pale white . All the black things turns into light grey. That only happens when the Adjust Brightness is on when it's off it works perfectly fine.

Updated macbook pro 13" 2017 model and could not adjust brightness afterwards Hi guys, Recently updated to Monterey and realised that after the update my macbook is stuck at full brightness and cannot be adjusted from anywhere. Saw a few posts with similar problems to me and was wondering if anyone has found a solution to it. The display brightness is stuck at maximum as shown in picture and it is greyed out. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the full brightness hurts my eyes.

Macbook Pro display is not bright My Macbook Pro display, whilst still visible to the naked eye, is awfully dimmer than it's original setting. (and this is at full brightness level). What's weirder is, at the bottom of the display screen, I can clearly see patches of bright display spots, if that makes sense. But otherwise, everywhere else is dim. Anyone knows how I can fix this issue?

See if resetting SMC helps.
